NAME: AHFAT SEAFOOD PLAZA

DESCRIPTION:  iAhfat is a Chinese seafood restaurant, and the Chinese restaurant in Davao. And not just any ordinary city Chinese restaurant, but one that can rival the best Chinese restaurants in Metro Manila. In fact, members of senior management of the agency I work for, as well as its directors and the various senior and junior officers, declare that the spiced spareribs are the best ever, and has no equal in any Chinese restaurant around the country.

I don't know what ahfat means, nor if it is even a Chinese word. But being Filipino, I'd say maybe it means four (the Tagalog term in the Tagalog language is apat). Which, at the rate of its popularity, is not far to say is the number of outlets it's going to have in no time at all. Right now there's two dining halls being operated by Ahfat. We were there on a Monday night and both dining outlets were full to the gills, with several turnovers during the two hours that we dined

NAME: DAMPA DAVAO
DESCRIPTION: A new Filipino restaurant sprouted in Tionko Avenue in the name of Dampa Davao. This new food destination serves Pinoy foodfare with focus on grilled meat and seafood.
The average Pinoy’s fascination for freshly grilled food is on display here in Dampa Davao. The restaurant is fashioned after the famous dampa restaurants in Manila that similarly serve fresh seafood cooked to your liking. Of course, the word dampa is similar to the typical bahay kubo, made of wood or bamboo and a roof made of nipa.
Dampa Davao evokes the fresh food experience by displaying its wide array of seafood in a glass counter, from which customers can choose what they want to eat and how they want it cooked.
